Welcome to Chanel College. I hope that this website provides some insight into the various aspects of our community.
As Principal at Chanel College. I strongly believe that we provide a quality education in a safe and caring environment. We, as a Catholic College, support an inclusive policy that accepts and values other religious faiths for their contribution to the diversity of our religious culture. Students from all religious backgrounds are welcome at our College.
Established in 1966, Chanel College has a current enrolment of 540 students.
We are committed to the development of the whole person – academic, spiritual, emotional, physical, social and cultural. We offer programs and opportunities to develop each of these dimensions.
Our College is built on the traditions of both the Mercy Sisters and the Marist Brothers. Our College Patron, Saint Peter Chanel, provides us with a role model of compassion and dedication, and values which we are committed to developing and nurturing in our students. The College also has a strong social justice focus.
The College motto: ‘To Live Justly” (Micah 6:8) sums up the aim for which the College was founded and exists today – to teach people to live justly in the sight of God and in the sight of their fellow men and women.
