Our Students

At St Anthony’s, we believe learning extends beyond the classroom and occurs within a variety of learning environments and through a range of experiences.

Students at St Anthony’s experience:

  • Masses, liturgies, prayer and assemblies - St Anthony’s Feast Day, NAIDOC, Anzac Day, Remembrance Day,
  • Local Excursions – The Heritage Village, Historical Quay Street, Archer Park Rail Station, The Botanical Gardens and Zoo, The Dreamtime Centre, Art Galleries, Capricorn Coast, Musical Productions, Theatre Performances, Fitzroy River and local government organisations.
  • Guest presentations and performances – Visiting Scientists, Life Education, Creepy Crawlies, Arts Council productions,
  • Participation in local, regional and national competitions and various sporting competitions, Maths Teams Challenge, Robotics Competition, Debating, Glenmore Challenge (dance, maths, literature, science and history), Optiminds and University of NSW English, Science, Mathematics, Writing and Spelling competitions.
  • School Camps – for Year 5 at the Capricorn Caves and Year 6 at Chaverim Camp, Bundaberg.
  • School Committees and Groups – Mini Vinnies, Environmental Group, Robotics Club and the Crochet Club.
  • Opportunities for Student Leadership - Student Representative Council, School Leaders and House Captains.
  • Cultural Expression through the Arts, music, dance and drama.
