Our Curriculum - Religious Education

Religious Education at St Anthony’s draws on Catholic Christian Tradition, mindful of the cultural and personal experiences shared in our community. Through open dialogue, educators support an understanding of faith and teaching about Jesus in a modern context. The personal interactions and everyday activities, our school motto and school charism are given witness, supporting all that we do at St Anthony’s.

Religious Education lessons focus on the teaching of the religion curriculum in a structured learning environment. The curriculum is designed to give students age appropriate opportunities to develop:

  • a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • understanding of the religious beliefs, values and practices of Christianity and the ways Catholics live by these
  • respect for the religious beliefs, attitudes and values of others
  • developmentally appropriate skills to discuss and reflect on religion topics

The Religious Life of the School is embraced by the community as a complementary celebration to our individuality within a holistic experience of the living Jesus Christ.
