STUDENT LEADERS
2021 is the year our original Prep students become our Year 6 leaders. In 2021, for the first time, we will have students who have completed all of their primary school years here at St Brendan’s.

We will be conducting our School Captain Speeches on Monday at 8.40am. House Captain Speeches will take place on Wednesday from 11.35am. Our Year 5 students will have a nomination process this week to select the candidates for the positions.

COVID
I have received a number of questions about COVID restrictions for next year. At this point in time it is difficult to foresee what any changes will look like. I will notify parents of the procedures we will be using to ensure we keep our children and ourselves safe. We know our borders will be open next week and people will be moving around our country a great deal more. It is important we continue to do all of the things we have been asked to so if there is an outbreak it is contained, and restrictions are limited.

CHRISTMAS CAROLS EVENT
This year we will be having a Christmas Carols Event at school on Wednesday 2nd December. The format will be similar to that of the Dancefever Showcase last term, but limited to a maximum of 2 adults per family. Parents will be encouraged to attend their child’s section only, as this will allow us to restrict numbers and adhere to COVID social distancing requirements.

• 9:45am – 10:30am     Yr3, Yr4, Yr 5 and Yr 6 

The P&F will be selling tickets in a CHRISTMAS FAMILY HAMPER... all proceeds will go to helping our school families in need.

2021 BOOKLISTS
Collection dates and times:

• Monday 30th November 8:15-8:45am and 2:45-3:15pm - current Prep and Year 1 students.
• Tuesday 1st December 8:15-8:45am and 2:45-3:15pm - current Year 2 and 3 students.
• Wednesday 2nd December 8:15-8:45am and 2:45-3:15pm - current Year 4 and 5 students.
• Parents with more than one student at the school may collect all their orders at one time.
