Parental Involvement

At St. Joseph's we encourage parents to be involved in the life of the school, as much as their time permits.

There are many opportunities for parents to contribute to the school, whether this be in the classroom through reading, literacy or numeracy groups, coaching sporting teams, helping in the tuckshop, grounds work, guest speaking, to name just a few. It is our expectation that we will work together in partnership with parents to develop your child to their optimum potential.

Welcome
Parents & Friends

St. Joseph's is fortunate to have a very active and hard-working Parents and Friends group, committed to enhancing and supporting the school environment.

Our P&F organise a range of activities in which all parents are able to be involved.

  • Breakfast Club

    - Breakfast Club operates every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning beginning at 8.15am. This is a free service provided by the school where students can come along and get toast, toasted sandwiches, cereal, fruit, milo, smoothies and the like. The aim is to ensure that every child has had a healthy breakfast prior to starting the school day - or a little something extra for those children that have had breakfast at home! The Breakfast Club is staffed by parents and runs largely on donations from the parents and local community.

  • "Joey's Angels"

    - The Joey's Angels group is comprised of a number of parents who provide home-cooked meals, which are provide to families in times of illness or hard-times. This group epitomises the Catholic ethos of the school.

  • Homebake

    - While many working parents find it very difficult to be physically in the school on a regular basis, they are able to contribute through the homebake group. The homebake group provide healthy snacks, slices and cakes for tuckshop and catering for morning teas and the like.

The P&F meet on the second Tuesday of every month and everyone in our school community is welcome to attend.
